About Me

My name is Lainey and my garden is in Southeastern Michigan. I use the floral and herbal goodness to create beautiful gifts, favors, and keepsakes. I started planting and our shop in 2014. In 2017, we moved to our current property with a several of acres and my garden expanded. I grow vegetables, flowering trees, shrubs, berries, lavender, and wildflowers.

About the Cottage Garden

What is a Cottage Garden? A cottage garden includes annuals and perennials with herbs and edible plants. Cottage gardens use a style requires less maintenance than structured formal gardening styles. Plants are generally packed together tightly and informally. I use mostly raised beds for my gardening, but also have a wildflower/pollinator garden. which is nationally registered with Monarch Watch as a Monarch Waystation.

Products

My products are handmade artisan gifts from the garden. I create my own soaps, candles, potpourris, and bird seed treats and wreaths. Please browse our online shop on the Shop page (coming soon). I also have a shop on Etsy, which can be found at laineyscottagegarden.etsy.com

FLORAL DESIGNS: I have a portfolio page for my dried floral designs. I am currently no longer doing wedding parties. However, I may post occasional seasonal designs.

Blog

My blog is full of information related to gardening basics and help with cottage garden plants, lavender, and wildflowers. I also sprinkle in some good recipes you can try. All things garden, hearth, and home will be covered!

Misson Statement

My mission is to encourage other gardeners to use the informal style of gardens and pollinator habitats.
