So far February is starting out fairly busy.  I have been working on some Valentine’s themed products and filling orders this week.  One of our most popular are our hearts goat milk lavender soaps.  I have recently added a new scent – rose scented with real dried rose petals in the hearts.   We also have rose shaped soaps also available in rose petal and lavender.  These guest soaps come in a little purple organza bag.  They make a unique gift.   They are very creamy, and I use these soaps myself.

We also have a lot of other choices as far as gifts.  A popular one for both Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day is our gift basket that has a little of this and a little of that of our products.   It includes a beeswax lavender candle, goat milk soap, culinary lavender tin, lavender floral water/linen spray, lavender bath salts/soak, and embroidered sachets filled with lavender.

Last week I was busy making lavender beeswax candles.  I made quite a few up. We have 4 oz mason jar candles and now two styles of 8 oz mason jars (jelly and jam jars).   The jam jars are more rounded than a traditional jelly jar and they are a little something different.  Beeswax candles are all natural and natural air purifiers.  We add lavender essential oils, organic coconut oil, and dried lavender buds.

Today, I have been busy working on bouquets.  We have about 6 different bouquet options now in small, medium and large sizes (or flower girl, bridesmaid, and bride’s size).  I am working on getting some matching boutonniere listings up on the shop, but I probably will not do so until after Valentine’s Day at this rate.  The bouquets are not just for weddings.  I have had several orders for Valentine’s Day and also they are great for home decor.  I’ve had people order them to place in farmhouse style pitcher for a rustic design option.  I love this French Country look when placed in an enamel pitcher.  The bouquets can also lay on a shelf or stand up.  Even though the flowers are dried they are still very scented.  All dried flowers will incur some shedding and it’s best to keep them out of direct sunlight to reduce fading.  You can give a light dusting of  hairspray to reduce any shedding.

We have many other products if you’d like to browse through our store.  With Valentine’s Day coming up next week if you’d like something please order as soon as possible.  Shipping usually requires 2-3 days using priority mail.   One day shipping is possible but there is a definite up charge/cost and you need to ask for a custom order.

Other goings on:  My husband is recovering great from his open heart surgery/aortic valve replacement.  He is about a month out from his surgery and will meet with his cardiac surgeon for a followup this week.  We feel very blessed with how well he has done.

While he has been at home with me recovering, he and I are having a lot of fun looking at home decor for our new place – as we are moving sometime this spring.  We also have been  actively planning for our new and much larger lavender growing area, herb garden, etc.  We are so looking forward to spreading out on a few acres.  We will keep you posted as things progress with our move.

The ground hog saw his shadow, so I guess we have 6 more weeks of winter here in Michigan.  It’s been rainy rather than snowy lately, but we will use it to our advantage to continue planning.  Our youngest dear son will be graduating from high school this June!  We just got notification to pick up cap and gowns soon.  Time flies.   We have a lot of exciting changes coming this spring/summer!  Thanks for following along with us.  Click on pictures below to enlarge.
